Rickey "Fuquan" McGee, a 45-year-old African American man, has been wrongfully incarcerated since 1997, when he was a mere 19 years old. He was unjustly convicted in the 1990s in Suffolk County, Massachusetts, which was notorious for its corruption during that era. His case was marred by the involvement of corrupt officers, some of whom now appear on the state's Brady list, as well as "witnesses" who were incentivized to provide false testimony.
